As a for profit business, serving the needs of social service agencies, Talk2One has been actively supported by a number of organizations at the local and provincial levels as well as the private sector. Initial development of the service was funded by private investment and a Prosperity grant from the Region of Niagara. Since then we have had the endorsement of a number of preeminent organizations all supporting our efforts to fight poverty through enhanced communications and information management services.

Talk2One is proud to be a member of a number of Canadian companies who have embraced the concept of the B Corporation. Certified B Corporations are a new type of corporation which uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.
Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold
Talk2One’s office is located in the Housing Help Centre at Community Care giving us a unique perspective of the needs of those trapped in the spiral of poverty. This first hand exposure is invaluable in that we interact with the Talk2One members on a daily basis and have made many changes and adjustments to the system based on their input.

Jumpstart
Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a national charitable program that helps financially disadvantaged kids participate in organized sport and recreation. An early supporter of the Talk2One service, and recognizing the value of the Talk2Station program, Jumpstart sponsored the first unit in Niagara which has proven highly beneficial for our members.

MaRS
One of the leading business incubators in Canada, MaRS provides: resources, people, programs, physical facilities, funding and networks to ensure that critical innovation happens. Working with the MaRS team for the past two years, we have established contacts with several key agencies dealing with homelessness in the City of Toronto.

Operating as a certified “B Corporation”, Manzimvula is a social enterprise demonstrating the principles of a for-profit enterprise serving the public good to which we aspire. Talk2One is privileged to work with Manzivula not only in Canada but creating applications in developing nations particularly related to health and wellness issues.
